Introducing Bluesky Experience Shell Build 8

 Hi ther. Today, we're releasing Bluesky Experience Shell Build 8. We've made some notable changes to improve your experience, such as:

  • Introducing DARK MODE! Enjoy Bluesky Experience Shell with dark theme that's really comfy. It is accessible via Bluesky Experience Lab > TabPage2 (It will be moved to Settings app in future builds).
  • We've raised the minimum framework to .NET Framework 4.5. It might be reverted in future builds.
  • A tooltip has been added while you're hovering battery status or clock in the desktop.
  • New battery bar graphic in Settings app.
  • Now you can set custom wallpaper (limited to 15MB in size) and user pictures (limited to 1MB in size).
  • New Add Password experience.
  • After creating an event, the entry will be showed in Date and Time panel.
  • We've added real-time CPU usage counter in System Report app.
  • The distance between battery status and clock in the desktop is now adaptive.
  • We're experimenting new animation engine in Alarms app. Give it a try!
  • We've fixed logic error in System Report app that makes it always detect that you're running Windows 11.

Known issues
  • The new animation engine in Alarms app may glitches in first run.
  • Some app may still in light mode after enabling dark mode. This is an expected behaviour. We're working on it.
  • There will be a thick white line in some apps after enabling dark mode.
  • There will be some rare cases when the Events entry in Date and Clock panel went missing after restarting the app.
  • System Report app will launch much longer than usual.
